Winter coats designed in Canada
Our story begins in 1979 in the Province of Quebec with the founding of Audvik, a visionary winter jacket brand that wanted to do its part to create a more sustainable fashion industry. With local production, garment repair programs and high quality fabrics at its core, Audvik has always strived to offer responsible winter wear made to last.
Sophie Boyer, a former cross-country ski athlete, acquired Audvik in 2012. With the desire to combine style, warmth and environmental responsibility, Sophie, with the help of her mother in product design, has made it her mission to bring her passion and energy to continue creating sustainable Canadian coats.
Forty years later, FOSFO makes its first appearance as an Audvik collection. Its rounded shapes, bright colors and contemporary cuts quickly made it a winter must-have. Today, the brand has grown to become its own North Star with novel and responsible products sold throughout North America, to the delight of winter lovers.
At FOSFO, we love winter. Passionately. And the reason we love it so much is because we get to spend it outside playing. Therefore, we believe that this natural playground should be preserved at all costs.
That’s exactly why we chose to create a warmer jacket with a smaller footprint. Each FOSFO is insulated with RDS certified responsible down. The rest of its fabrics are made from fishing nets collected in the ocean, which are then recycled into yarn used to weave our jackets.
